HOME Line's Immigration Outreach Program goal is to ultimately provide landlord/tenant legal services to recent immigrants to the United States living in the Twin Cities metro area.


HOME Line contacts social service agencies that specialize in working with immigrant groups of varying nationalities. If the agency is interested, we will set up a 2-3 hour training for staff/volunteers on the basics of landlord/tenant law.


After this training, the agency will serve as a conduit between their clients who may need assistance with landlord/tenant issues and our office. The social service agency may provide a fax machine (we frequently need to see the lease to evaluate a tenant's rights and responsibilities) or translation services so their clients can be served.
